IMMUNITY CUBES

A couple of years ago I decided to get healthy and started my journey in natural medicines.  I bought books on it and talked to naturopaths about it and compiled notes. These immunity cubes are a product of that research.

As I am a bit older now, I have some inflammatory things going on and these cubes are great for my inflammation, and also for my immunity health. I have now used these for about 3 years.  They live in my freezer year round now. I drink this in a tea every night. 

I actually have a little cold right now and have for about 2 days, and already, it is getting better because of these immunity cubes.  Try these this winter to stay healthier, because a cold, well, sucks!

I have always been shy of pharmaceuticals. As I got older, I started to research ways to boost my immune system and to fight my arthritis naturally. I developed these cubes after some research into anti-inflammatory foods that are also good for the immune system and came up with these cubes.

INGREDIENTS

5 Lemons, zested and peeled

2 Oranges, zested and peeled

1 4 inch Fresh Ginger, peeled

1 Tablespoon Powdered Tumeric

2 teaspoons Black Pepper

1 Tablespoon Cinnamon

1 Cup Coconut Water

⅓ Cup Raw Honey

DIRECTIONS

  1. Zest the lemons and oranges and set the zest aside. Peel the oranges and lemons. Put them in a blender.

  2. Peel the fresh ginger and add it all to the blender, along with the powdered turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon, coconut water,  raw honey and zest. Blend until it is completely smooth. 

  3. Freeze in ice cube trays and store in whatever container works for you in the freezer. 

  4. Boil water along with 1 frozen immunity cube and more honey if you desire.  Optional, add a small amount of peppermint extract. Optional add a peppermint tea bag.

NOTE

These cubes help to keep me healthy all winter long and also are part of my anti-inflammatory diet for my arthritis.  It works for both my immune system and my inflammation. I do strain this when I pour it into my cup as well.
