APPLE BUTTER SLOW COOKER
As a child, my mom always had a mason jar of Apple Butter in the refrigerator. I grew up with it and love it. As an adult, I had not had it in a very long time and then discovered this crock pot recipe. So easy!
My grandpa, Ralph, who lived in McCraken, Kansas all of his life, loved Apple Butter. He was my most favorite person on the planet. Apple butter always reminds me of summer visits to his house in McCracken. It smells like his house. I love it.
Now Apple Butter may not be in our past but if not, give it a try. I hope I can create more Apple Butter fans out there. See the recipe at www.misstracybakes.com
I have loved apple butter since I was a little girl. My mom always had some in a mason jar in the refrigerator. Apple butter is great on toast, English muffins, or biscuits.

5 Lbs. Apples (any kind)
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
½ teaspoon Nutmeg
¼ teaspoon Cloves
2 dashes of Salt
DIRECTIONS
Peel, core and slice the apples thinly.
Add the apples to the slow cooker. Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt. Stir to coat the apples.

After the apples have cooked, place them and any liquid into a blender, blend until very smooth. You can also use an immersion blender as well.
