CARMEL CORN WITH PEANUTS AND PRETZELS

I have been making this for years and years.  I made it for school bake sales, theater nights at the school and for road trips. It is the best caramel corn recipe I have ever found.

This recipe came to me from a coworker years ago.  It is one of my most requested recipes as it is so easy and it is also easy to make.  It is a show stopper recipe. I used to make this for bake sales for band while my girls were both in high school. I would make 30 bags at $5.00 each and they would sell out in 15 minutes.

This is a great recipe for Fall and for anytime really.  I just made some for people who are moving to take for a sweet and salty snack while they drive to their new home in Arizona.

I got this recipe from a coworker years ago.  It is one of my most requested recipes.  This is also pretty easy to make and absolutely the best caramel corn recipe I’ve ever found.

½ teaspoon Salt

¼ teaspoon Baking Soda

2 Bags Act 2 Buttered Popcorn popped.

Pretzel Sticks

Dry Roasted Peanuts (I don’t use these)

  1. Combine brown sugar, butter, karo syrup, and salt and melt, stirring on medium high for 5 minutes.

  2. Remove mixture from what and add baking soda.  Stir until fluffy.

  3. Pour on popped corn and stir until evenly coated.  Spread on two parchment covered baking sheets evenly.

  4. Bake at 250 degrees for 45 minutes, taking out and stirring and replacing on pans after each 15 minutes.  On the last 15 minute bake, add the pretzels and peanuts if you are using them.
