I love shortbread cookies, you can dress them up or leave them as they are and they are delicious. I am trying several recipes for Shortbread Cookies to see which one I like the best. I am starting with this one. We will see.

DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
Every Saturday I do a dessert for a dinner that we go to at a Mission in El Paso, Texas. I wanted a good chocolate cookie and so tried these cookies. They are excellent. I wish I’d found them sooner. I would have been making them all the time. They are easy and delicious.

HOMEMADE CINNAMON ROLLS
Who doesn’t love homemade cinnamon rolls? They are great with chili, or great for a special breakfast. You do have to think ahead of time because this is bread. Bread is not that complicated, but it does take time. Time spent is well worth it for these delicious cinnamon rolls.

IMMUNITY CUBES
I have always been shy of pharmaceuticals. As I got older, I started to research ways to boost my immune system and to fight my arthritis naturally. I developed these cubes after some research into anti-inflammatory foods that are also good for the immune system and came up with these cubes.

ZUCHINI SQUASH CASSEROLE
My friend from Anthony First Baptist church shared this recipe with me last year. She brought it to a Wednesday night Bible Study we go to and have a pot-luck dinner. She is a very accomplished cook and everything she brings is excellent. This recipe is no exception. Try it.

CHRSISTMAS SUGAR COOKIES
When I was little these were the sugar cookies my Mom would make for our Christmas Eve Christmas. We had our Christmas on Christmas Eve as we went to church on Christmas morning. My Dad told us that Santa liked us best so came to our house first. These are very thin sugar cookies decorated with colored sugars.

Golden Cornbread Muffins
When my two daughters were young, we lived in Nashville Tennessee. Remember physical books? I was a big fan of used book stores. One day, I was in one and found this old Kentucky Fair Cookbook. On a lark, I picked it up and bought it. I am so happy I did.

Aunt Beaut’s Sugar Cookies
My Aunt Beaut lived in McCracken, Kansas and was a school teacher there. McCracken’s claim to fame is that part of Paper Moon was filmed there. Aunt Beaut was a character and a fantastic baker and cook. She was almost 6 feet tall, a giant among much shorter folks, with red hair and a personality to match.

Three Cheese Manicotti
This recipe is an easy recipe, can be made ahead, bakes in less than 30 minutes, serve with a salad and maybe some bread and dinner is served. A great recipe to make ahead during this busy holiday season.

Caramels, Two Ways!
I found this recipe about 10 years ago but put it in a box and never made it, until tonight. Wow, these are amazing! They did take about an hour to make and bring to temperature but they are worth it!

Press Sugar Cookies
The cookies keep really well if wrapped and kept in an air-tight container. They can be packed and shipped, made ahead and frozen. I dye the dough with gel colors and sometimes to one color cookies but at others do multi-colored cookies. It is a very versatile dough. I make these for Christmas trays, at Easter, in the fall too. They are beautiful little cookies.

English Muffin Bread
I started making this bread in August and now make it every other week, to have with my breakfast. It is so good, it is very much like an English Muffin, only less dry. It is my go-to bread for breakfast and one of the best bread recipes I’ve ever tried, and it is so easy too.

Microwave Peanut Brittle
I have been making Peanut Brittle for decades. I have perfected the recipe for people who don’t want a slab of peanut brittle but a melt in our mouth experience. Once my peanut brittle is out and on the pan cooling, I wait about 5 minutes and then start pulling the peanut brittle out so it is thin and easier to eat.

Fantasy Fudge
Fantasy Fudge, this recipe was developed by Kraft and put on the label of their Marshmallow Cream jar. It is a really easy, and really fantastic fudge recipe. It goes together quickly.

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies
Ah, Chocolate Crinkles cookies, how I love you so. These cookies are really good, and kind of a different cookie. Most of the chocolate cookies are not like these. These are kind of like little cakes, only more dense.

Nonna’s Sugar Cookies
This recipe was given to me by a friend at the bank I used to work with. She was Italian and this cookie was one that her Italian grandmother made every Christmas. It is very different from the North American sugar cookies that are fat and covered with yummy buttercream. Not that I don’t love those cookies too. But this one is so different and just so good.

Microwave Pecan Brittle
I have been making Pecan Brittle for about 10 years. When I first started I made it on the stove top. This stuff had to be cooked on the stove top at such a high temperature that I burned up about a dozen expensive candy thermometers.

Thin & Crispy Chocolate Chunk Cookies
Ready to get chunky? These cookies are sooooo goooood. I got this off of a Facebook Real years ago and they looked so easy and so good that I tried them. I am so happy I did. They are excellent cookies .
